05 Harleys revealed

1 of 1

Harley-Davidson is adding three new models to its range for 2005 – two retro-styled versions of existing bikes and one new entry-level 1450cc cruiser.

The FLSTNI Softail Deluxe and FLTSCI Springer Classic are the retro style machines while the FXDCI Super Glide Custom is the entry level 1450.

You can spot the Softail Deluxe by its whitewell tyres, laced chrome wheels, shotgun exhausts, tombstone tail light, chrome luggage rack and pull-back bars.

The Springer Classic has a rigid-mounted twin-cam motor, Springer front suspension, chrome headlamp assembly, removable pillion seat and a crossover dual pipe.

The Super Glide comes with chrome forks, top mounted speedo, colour-matched tank console, 1450cc twin-cam engine and aluminium wheel rims.

Other changes to the Harley range include:

A new stiffer swingarm and bigger rear axle for the Sportster range

New vent holes in the lower fairing of the Ultra Classic Electra Glide

New chrome spoked wheel for the Wide Glide, Softail Deluxe and Road King Classic

A new dipstick allowing owners to check oil levels while bikes are on the sidestand for all Softail models.

The V-Rod gets new colours.
