Naked R1 revealed

Yamaha unveiled a new completely naked version of its 150bhp R1-powered FZ1 at its Paris Show preview event on Wednesday night (Sep 28).

As MCN readers will already know (first official pictures were revealed in our issue out today, Sep 28) a lightweight aluminium frame made in the same way as the R1 and R6’s make it both light and powerful and upside-down forks add to the superbike appeal.

Lacking the fairing of the FZ1S (previously revealed on this site and also being debuted at Paris this weekend) it weighs just 195kg.
