More 2007 Harleys

The new FXSTC Softail Custom leads the Softail family with the new 96B engine, six speed gearbox and exhausts systems.

The new Custom aims for chopper-inspired style and comfort, with a plush two-up seat and backrest. There’s a 200mm rear tyre on slotted 17-inch rear wheel wrapped in bobtail fender. It’s got polished ape-hanger bars, a Fat Bob fuel tank and a 21-inch front wheel. There are three solid and four two-tone colours to choose from.

Meanwhile the Fat Boy is completely overhauled with a new 200mm rear tyre and bullet-hole disc wheel and new rear fender. There’s a new two-tone and two-up seat, and new graphics, plus a 17-inch front wheel, chorme front fork nacelles, giant bare knuckle riders and fat, internally wired handlebar.

The Heritage Softail Classic gets a new passenger seat, chrome profile laced wheels, chrome passing lamps, studded-leather trim and full FL front fender over a fat touring front tyre.

The Softail Deluxe remains the lowest Harley available, with a 622mm seat height, while the Softail Springer classic sticks with the retro look, but gains new indicators on the beach-style handlebar. And the Night Train gets the 200mm rear tyre, extended rider footpeg and brake pedals, black slotted disc rear wheel and colour-matched belt sprocket under a bobtail fender.

The touring range of Street Glide, Electra Glides, and Road Kings all get the new engines, gearboxes and exhausts, but changes are mainly limited to colour options for 2007.

And the Dyna family run on a similar theme, with the Dyna Super Glide Custom, Dyna Street Bob, Dyna Low Rider, and Dyna Wide Glide mainly uprated with colours and the Harley Smart Security System.

The Sportster range sees a bigger changes with the new standard Electronic Sequential Port fuel Injection (ESPFI), new handlebar wiring and guages, reduced clutch and brake lever effort, and increased mid-range performance on the XL 883 models. they’ll continue to be powered by the XL Evolution V-Twin.

The most afforable Sportster, the XL 883 is returned with new cams, new guages, and four colour options. These changes also continue onto the Sportster 883R, which comes in black, orange or pearl.

The Sportser 883 Low has a seat height down to 641mm in 2007, with new rear shocks, front fork springs and damper tubes, new jiffy stand and new footpegs, while the 883 Custom gets the new cams and 21-inch laced front wheel.

The bigger 1200 Sporters also get fuel injection and easier brake and clutch levers, including the 1200 Roadster, 1200 Low, and 1200 Custom.
