Rock star in charity ride

Rock drummer Mark Richardson will join charity riders for the arduous two-week Enduro Africa event, in aid of Riders for Health.
Richardson is the drummer with UK rock group Feeder, and owns a Yamaha Warrior Cruiser and YZ250 motocross machine. He’ll swap these for a Yamaha AG200 for the rally, which is the same type of machine used by the health workers the Riders for Health charity supports.

The entry fee for each participant includes buying the bike they will use, which will be donated to Riders at the end of the rally, along with a contribution for running costs. To prepare, Richardson has booked time at the Yamaha Off-Road Experience, and the California Superbike School.
"My friends at J-D Sports and K-Swiss agreed to sponsor my trip, whilst Arai have donated the helmets," said Richardson. Yamaha Music has been brilliant in setting up a pledge site and a promotional plan, and Yamaha Motors have provided my training."
