Valentino Rossi snowbound

This massive Valentino Rossi snow sculpture won a recent competition for snow artists in the Italian town of Selva di Val Gardena.

The theme for 2009 was International Sports Personalities and this work of snow art was done by Samuel Perathoner to take the win with a second Rossi work – this time in profile – took second place for Matthias Kostner.

This was the 14th time the competition has run.
