’87 Kawasaki GPZ750, £2750
Last of the air-cooled 750s was arguably the best of the GPz breed.
We say: Better looking than 550 and 1100 and good nick, but pricey.

 

’83 Suzuki GR650 Tempter, £750
Oddball, old-school US-style roadster twin now rare
We say: OK condition, original and cheap, but limited appeal.

 

’78 Honda CB400/4, £1875
‘Mini CB750’ four is great starter classic, but prices rising.
We say: Honest example with Giuliari seat is typical of breed.

 

’90 Yamaha FZR1000 EXUP, £1095
Definitive early ‘90s superbike ruled roost until the Fireblade.
We say: Future classic. Good looking, usable and cheap.
