1 of 6

The latest issue of Practical Sportsbikes magazine is now on sale (March 16) – the first monthly edition of the UK’s best mag for 70s, 80s and 90s sportsbikes.

In this issue we’re riding some of the greatest learner bikes from the 1970s and 1980s, pitting the Kawasaki KH250, Suzuki GT250 X7 and RD250LC head-to-head as well as a talking to the men obsessed with 1980s sports mopeds.

We also take a look at Andy Robinson’s gorgeous Lawson-tribute Yamaha FZ750 and John Silva’s immaculate Kawasaki GPX250R restoration, completed in his first-floor flat as a surprise for his Dad.

Meet the world’s foremost expert and collector of OW01s, and take a look at five very different 92-99 Honda CBR900RR FireBlades – from the 190mph V&M special to the abused stunt bike blown up four times.

Plus, we’ve been busy in the shed – see how our project Suzuki RGV250K is progressing, learn how to repair spark plug threads and rebuild tired CV carbs.

Also in this issue is the first instalment of our A-Z sportsbike hunter – the must-have, at-a-glance guide to sports bikes from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
