MCN cover star Chesca Miles: the biking Bond girl

MCN cover star Chesca Miles is no longer just a model, singer and stunt rider, but a Bond girl too. Appearing at the London launch of ‘Carte Blanche’ the latest Bond novel from American novelist Jeffery Deaver , Miles rode a classic BSA Spitfire through St.Pancras station.

Set outside of Europe’s longest champagne bar, the event also featured a group of abseiling Royal Marines and a Bentley Continental GT. Chesca told MCN: “It was an amazing event. They asked me along as they needed a female rider that could fit into that ‘Bond girl’ stereotype. How does it feel being a Bond girl…? Amazing!

“Getting to ride a 1966 BSA Spitfire through St.Pancras station in front of the Bentley and a huge crowd of press and public, you don’t often get to do that. What a truly amazing event, it was a real honour.”

Miles’ BSA-riding persona was apparently “inspired by one of Bond’s love interests in Carte Blanche, whose passion for speed and fast engines rivals Bond’s own”. Carte Blanche is out now, priced £19.99.
