Scooter rider injured as rope strung across road

Police are appealing for witnesses after a rope strung across a road caused injury to a rider.

Angela Whitehouse of Royston, Barnsley, was travelling on her Piaggio scooter when she rode into the rope.

She suffered head and leg injuries, but is now recovering at home. Any witnesses should contact Barnsley Police on 01226 736030, or contact Crimestoppers.
