Two million speeding tickets a year issued to motorists

Official government figures have revealed that almost two million speeding tickets are being issued to motorists a year.

Since Labour came to power the amount of speeding tickets has almost trebled from 700,000 a year to 1.9 million.

Along with an increase in the basic speeding fine, this means speeding tickets now raise £120 million a year.
