Winners return from Yamaha’s trip of a lifetime

One of the best prizes ever offered to motorcyclists must have been that awarded by Yamaha to 24 winners from across Europe to mark the launch of the 2007 Yamaha R1.

The winners, including three British riders, went to the Catalunya GP, got on-track instruction on R6s and R1s at Valencia and met Troy Corser and Colin Edwards – who offered riding advice – as part of their prize.

One British winner, Luke Gough, said: “I can’t think of one highlight that stands out more than any one other, there have ben so many highlights.”
