2007 KTM 990 SuperDuke launch

1 of 1

At first it looks almost identical to the old model but KTM have made a few subtle changes for 2007 in response to customer feedback.

The tank size has increased by 3.5 litres, the front brake calipers are now radially mounted and the engine management system (along with the suspension) has had a tweak.

My first riding impressions, after an hour on board the bike out here at the launch in Calafat, southern Spain, is the new Super Duke has lost none of it’s character and is still a fun and excitable street fighter.

I’ll be taking it out on track this afternoon (Friday, March 9, 2007) to really put it through its paces and you can read all about it in next week’s fantastic edition of MCN, available from Wednesday, March 14, 2007.
