Motorcycle sales increase for 2007

A report by the Motorcyle Industry Association has shown that this year registrations on new motorcycles has increased by 7.7%.

New scooter registrations have increased by 4.3%, while total motorcycle registrations have increased by 8.4%.

The top 10 new registrations is lead by the Suzuki GSX-R 1000, which has a 1.7% market share and has 2,104 new registrations to date this year. The Suzuki is closely followed by the Yamaha YBR 125.

The most registered scooter this year to date is the Honda SCV 100 LEAD, with 1,871 new registrations this year to date, and a 1.5% market share.

The Honda CBR 125 R is down to ninth, with just 1,509 new registrations and a 1.2% market share.
