MCN readers say yes to naked Ducati 1098

Ducati should build a naked version of its 1098 superbike, according to thousands of MCN readers.

We will be passing all of the information straight back to the Ducati factory bosses so they can see for themselves that 70% of MCN readers in our online survey want a stripped-down 1098.

In last week’s MCN we showed a computer-generated image of what a naked 1098 could look like after Ducati boss Gabriele Del Torchio called on MCN readers to say whether they’d buy the bike.

Del Torchio said: “I have seen the concept drawings of a new Ducati bike and we have had a good discussion about it. I would like to hear if Ducati fans think it is the kind of bike that could fit the “Ducati style?” Do you think I should send it on to our designers for “inspiration?” Let me have your opinion and when I get back we can talk about it.”

Ducati UK’s Alan Jones said: “It’s always interesting to hear what Ducati fans think of potential new models. We always feedback to the factory the sort of responses that we get from our own markets.”
