MCN has just received full technical details of Rieju’s new RS3 sports 125 which is due to be officially unveiled at the Milan Show next week (Nov 9).

These images show how the new bike, which replaces Rieju’s old RS2 sportster and which has been designed in collaboration with UK-based Xenophya Design, will look – and it’s clearly influenced by Honda’s CBR600RR.

Better still, though, is the new Rieju RS3’s specification. Not only is the MotoGP styling new, there’s an all-new composite steel/aluminium perimeter frame plus, at its heart, the latest liquid-cooled, four-valve, dohc, Yamaha-Minerelli 125cc engine complete with racer-style exhaust.

The RS3’s chassis and cycle parts are top-notch, too, with 40mm inverted forks replacing the outgoing RS2’s conventional RWU items), twin braking wave front discs and lightweight aluminium 17-inch wheels.

The bike will receive its public unveiling at the Milan Show on November 10.
