KTM unveiled its new road-legal, cross-country quad at the Stoneleigh Dirt Bike Show today.

Dubbed the 525XC ATV it features a revised version of the race-bred single-cylinder engine used in KTM’s off-road motorcycles.

To achieve road legal status, the quad features rear facing brake light, indicators, parking brake and reverse gear.

The quad, though road legal, is still a pure competition-bred machine powered by a 510.4cc (95mm bore x 72mm stroke), four-stroke, SOHC single fed by a 39mm Keihin flatslide carburettor.

Frame is lightweight chrome moly with an aluminium sub-frame. Suspension is twin WP front shocks and single WP rear. Weight is 168kg (no fuel). Price is £8700, on the road.
