1 of 1

Sherco launched their all-new st2.9 trials bike at the Dirt Bike Show, Stoneleigh today.

The 290cc two-stroke single had not even been shown to the Spanish press and fans when the UK importer, Malcolm Rathmell Sport, pulled the wraps off the new bike at the British show.

The st2.9 sports the same features as all the 2010 Sherco two-stroke trials bikes (and the st3.2-F four-stroke model) and includes the following major changes:

• Completely new frame which is narrower, lighter and has the centre of gravity centralised and lowered to improved performance.

• New airbox, relocated to take the position normally occupied by the fuel tank – thus improving airflow and making the airbox in a more pratical positioon when riding in water.

• New fuel tank, fabricated from Ergal aluminium and fitted with an ‘anti-bubble’ integrated fuel pump.

• New silencer design

• New ceriani forks with a new ‘Micro crom’ coating to reduce stiction and improve slide performance by 15%. All new aluminium internals reduce overall weight by 0.25kgs.

• New shock

• New cylinder head brace

Sherco are still working on the 2010 price list but the st2.9 is expected to be cost around £4800.

The full trials range includes: 50cc, 80cc, 125cc, 290cc, 250cc two-strokes and a 320cc four-stroke.
