Honda CRF250R gets more mid-range

Honda has announced the release of an updated CRF250R, as part of their 2011 off-road lineup.

The new model is intended to comply with the recent European FIM noise regulation, and the decibel level has been reduced accordingly. The alteration was achieved by adding a longer, higher capacity muffler and redesigning the air box and side covers.

Claimed improvements have also been made in mid range power delivery with a new ECU mapping in place and narrower throttle body design added.

The 2011 model offers a claimed 33bhp and features a new front fork piston design, claimed to improve rider control and balance.
