Ducati 1199 Panigale's staggering power and weight figures leak

The new Ducati 1199 Pangiale superbike boasts 195bhp and 176kg weight in road trim – WET.

These are staggering figures from a 1200cc twin and go a long way toward justifying Ducati’s ditching of traditional belts on the engine and steel trellis on the chassis.

The all-new engine features the most radically oversquare engine yet (KTM RC8-R: 105mm, Panigale: 112mm), gear/chain-driven cams, and the chassis is an aluminium front monocoque.
