Moto Morini back from the dead

Moto Morini, geting back on their feet from bankruptcy, have shunned this year’s EICMA show, instead deciding to launch their 2013 in Milan at the same time.

They haven’t set the world on fire with the new range, which is mainly an update on their old bikes, but minor tweaks across the range – mainly aimed at improving reliability, it seems – are still impressive for a company that was dead and buried a year ago.

No UK prices have been announced yet, but with current models surprisingly low-priced, the new models could be a unexpected bargain.

Three models are being re-released by the firm – the Corsaro, a naked 140bhp 1200cc, the GS-lookalike Granpasso, and the Scrambler, a 1200cc beast with off-road ambitions.

Expect more information to emerge over the course of the EICMA show, even if Moto Morini won’t be in attendance themselves.
