Motorcycles are too expensive in Britain

Spotted this Triumph 675 in a motorcyle shop in St. Petes, Florida.

It’s the 2008 special model. I asked the price and then sat down on the floor and cried. $9000! That’s £4500 at todays exchange rate – not bad for a motorcycle that’s got to be shipped there and import tax paid.

I asked what they were selling them for last year and it was less than $8500 and at the exchange rate then which is about normal at $1.43 to a pound and thats tourist rates not commercial which are better that still makes it £5900 which is still a saveing on something that is built about 150 miles from my house and sold 5000 miles away.

I’d have to pay £7500 to own one here.
