Plain AGV T-2 helmets arrive in the UK

MCN exclusively revealed the launch of the new AGV T-2 helmet back in March with the Barry Sheene replica.

And now plain colourways are available at AGV stockists.

The T-2 comes under the GP-Tech in the 2009 AGV range which was new in 2008.

The T-2 draws heavily on the new R&D process developed for the GP-Tech but is aimed to come in at a slightly cheaper price.

Still, the T-2 has an incredible spec outclassing many far more expensive products.

The helmet is very light and well balanced thanks to the full Kevlar/Carbon SSL shell; this shell construction enables AGV to use its well tested Integrated Ventilation System; the vents are integrated directly into the outer shell and inner E.P.S. liner giving a direct airflow through the helmet.

This greatly reduces noise and buffeting and means there is no restriction to the volume of air the vents can move.

There are also extractor vents on the side at the back of the helmet to pull stale air away from the face and side of the head.

The T-2 features the Race-X anti fog/anti scratch race visor, and the option to use a Racing Kit Visor enabling permanent fixing of the visor to the helmet, a system developed purely for the racetrack.

The inner E.P.S. is of 2 different densities, this is combined with the SSL Kevlar/Carbon shell for maximum safety.

The T-2 features a fully removable washable lining made from DuPont CoolMax.

All the cheeckpads are fully interchangeable with every size whilst every crown pad is interchangeable within the same E.P.S. shell. This allows a perfect custom fit.

The helmet is available in three shell sizes, combined with four different E.P.S. sizes to ensure an excellent fit.

The shell itself is also deigned to be naturally aerodynamic and parts are completely flush requiring no fins or spoilers to aid the aerodynamics, this makes the T-2 very stable at high speed reducing buffeting and neck fatigue.

The T-2 is available at £279 in plain colours.
