Suspension advice: finding the base settings

1 of 1

Before you go tweaking away at the bike’s adjustable suspension, make a note of what the settings were before you started. This might sound simple, but many an afternoon has been ruined by haste in this department.

Most new bikes will have the settings in their handbooks; otherwise, turn all the adjusters to the max, counting the number of turns/clicks required, and then return them by the same amount. This will be your base setting.
