Walker will test despite paralysis

Chris Walker will test his Kawasaki WSB bike this weekend despite continued problems with partial facial paralysis caused by Bell’s Palsy.

Walker has been having treatment all week to try and alleviate the problems but has opted to give the test a go despite there being no change in his condition.

Bell’s Palsy causes partial facial paralysis and can be caused by one of many factors – including trauma and infection. It is not clear what was the cause in Walker’s case.

On his way to the airport Walker phoned www.motorcyclenews.com to confirm he was going.

He said: ” I am going to the test because I need to be there and at least give it a go. This condition came on over night and it could go as quickly so I don’t want to be sat there feeling alright at home with no bike to ride.

” This test is important for me because I still have so much to learn about the bike and missing all three days would not be good. ”
