Honda riders filled the podium at the Daytona 200 race on Monday, March 10. The race was postponed from Sunday, when Daytona was blighted by torrential rain.

Miguel DuHamel won the race on his Honda SP-2, finishing in front of ex-World Superbike star Ben Bostrom, with Kurtis Roberts finishing third. Fourth went to the Suzuki of Aaron Yates, with Eric Bostrom fifth on the Kawasaki ZX-7R.

The win was Duhamel’s fourth, having previously won the race in 1991, 1996 and 1999. Ex-WSB and BSB rider Anthony Goberts retired his Ducati 998RS Testastretta on lap 25 when the engine expired.

The Daytona 200 whitewash built on Honda’s success in Sunday’s Supersport 600 race, which saw Kurtis Roberts claim the CBR600RR’s first top-flight win. Miguel DuHamel took third, but the Yamaha R6 of Jamie Hacking stopped the chance of another all-Honda rostrum.
