BSB Race 2: Camier does the double – again

1 of 1

Leon Camier has taken his second race win in Scotland today at round six of the ViSK British Superbike Championship.

The Airwaves Yamaha rider came over the line almost five seconds clear of second place man Josh Brookes on the HM Plant Honda. The final step on the podium went to the second Airwaves Yamaha in the hands of James Ellison.

John Laverty on the Buildbase Kawasaki crashed out at Scotsman corner continuing his theme of bad luck for the weekend. Fellow Ulsterman Ian Lowry’s Relentless Suzuki let go on lap seven ending his race early. Karl Harris failed to finish due to a technical problem on lap 19 and finally Michael Rutter crashed his Worx Suzuki at the hairpin on lap 21.

Camier said: “For GSE Racing and Airwaves Yamaha to not win here and now they have a double, it was hard to concentrate. It was good to get the double especially as they have always been here before on Ducatis so to do it on a Yamaha was good. I hope Glen gets well soon, a broken femur, I know where he is right now and I know how he feels.”
