Hill joins MCN for first look at Snetterton

New Swan Yamaha BSB signing Tommy Hill took an R1 around the all-new Snetterton 300 circuit last week and was absolutely raving about the layout.

The final top dressing of tarmac had only been completed the day before and with other construction work still-ongoing it wasn’t possible for Tommy to ride a complete lap on the bike but at least he got a chance to see the new circuit first-hand and told MCN: “The most impressive thing about the new track is that all the corners are fast and flowing, and open out.

“I think it will be fantastic for the fans and exciting for the riders because there’s so no dead stop corners anywhere, it means the racing is going to be really, really close.

“Nearly all the corners are extra wide, which not only gives us different options for racing lines, it gives us safer overtaking opportunities. On a lot of our other tracks you can’t set up a pass as such – you have to make a lunge because there’s no other option.
