When Honda UK announced that they were withdrawing their championship-winning MCE British Superbike team at the end of 2013, many mounted the loss of the most successful team in the series’ history.

However, Honda have other plans, and have reemphasised time and again since that the decision not to race in the superbike class for 2014 is temporary, and the team are pushing ahead with a two year plan to continue developing their Honda Fireblade for 2015.

On top of that, with the launch of the new Fireblade SP, the team are making a huge effort in the Superstock 1000 class, with Freddy Foray and Jason O’Halloran joining Conor Cummins on factory-supported bikes. On top of that, Julien Da Costa will make four wildcard appearances on the bike Alex Lowes won the title on.

Ahead of this weekend’s season start, Honda have released a video laying out exactly what the plans for 2014 are, as well as talking to the talent that will be on their machines.
