Adult Supercross begins

1 of 1

The first round of the adult Maxxis British Outdoor Supercross Championship gets underway this weekend.

High hopes have been pinned on the event following the success of the youth classes a fortnight ago at the newly built Norfolk Arena.

Both MX1 and MX2 will be appearing at the event with 2006 BYMX Premier Class champion Ashley Greedy set to move up to adult MX2 action. He will faced by opposition in the form of Steve Bixby, Luke Copping and Wisbech’s Arron Rayner.

The MX1 class is proving more difficult to try and predict with a whole host of riders capable of taking the crown.

Dave Bennett from Preston and Paul Cauldwell from Kent will be hoping that the long drive proves to be worthwhile as they face stiff local opposition from Gayton’s Ben Howard and Nick Woodhouse from Dereham.

Proceedings get under way at 11am on Friday for practice.

On Saturday testing begins at 10.30am with the main event starting at 7pm. Admission for adults on Saturday is £10 for adults, 12 to 15-year-olds £4 and under 11s go free.
