1 of 1

Jonathan Rea was the fastest rider for the first British Superbikes session at Knockhill this lunchtime.

The majority of the session had been led by his HM Plant Honda teammate Ruichi Kiyonari, who had led with laps of 50.973, 48.988 and 48.624 going in to the final few minutes.

But Ulster man Jonathan Rea raced in in the dying minutes to record a 48.429 lap around the Scottish circuit.

Current championship leader Ryuichi Kiyonari did finish the session in second place just under three 10ths quicker than third placed Leon Camier on his Bike Animal Honda.
