It’s not just James Toseland to cheer on this weekend either, in WSB Ducati rider Dean Ellison will be hoping that his local knowledge will help him claim more points. He’s also joined by wild card rider Aaron Zanotti.

In Supersport, Craig Jones will have his first outing onboard the 2007 spec Ekerold/Reve Honda CBR600RR having recently tested at Mallory and Snetterton.

In Superstock 1000 championship regular Barry Burrell and Matt Bond will be joined by wild cards Jonathon Howarth and Adam Jenkinson. Honorary Brit and 2006 British Superstock Champion Brendan Roberts won’t be attending the opening race after a bad crash onboard his Xerox Ducati 1098 left him with a dislocated right wrist and potentially out of action for the next month.

In Superstock 600 British hopefuls include Gino Rea, Greg Black, Daniel Brill and Leon Hunt who’s racing for the Italian CRS Grand Prix team.
