Aprilia Superteen Championship supports British MotoGP

The Aprilia Superteen Championship will be one of the support races at this year’s British MotoGP at Donington Park.

The series, which was the breeding ground for Casey Stoner and James Toseland, will be part of the Thundersport GB series.

The championship is open to riders aged 12 to 19 – or 21 for females – and uses a controlled two-stroke Aprilia RS125 with standard race kit for the rounds.

There will also be a championship round of the new ThundersportGB2 race series, which pitches 250 GP machines against their prototype four-stroke equivalents.

A full interview with Thundersport GB Series organisers, Dave and Bernardette Stewart can be found in this week’s MCN (February 13, 2008). They share an insight in to the championship and plans for the future.

The British MotoGP will be at Donington Park between June 20 and 22, 2008.
