Brands Hatch British Superbikes: HM Plant hoping for successful weekend

With both riders already signed to ride elsewhere next season, HM Plant Honda’s Leon Haslam and Cal Crutchlow are hoping to sign off in style for the team.

As Leon Haslam sets his sights on World Superbikes with the Stiggy HanSpree Honda team, he had this to say of this weekend: “I’ve won five out of the last seven races and now I want to make it seven out of nine.

“I want to the leave the team and the Bennetts British Superbike series on a high and that’s the aim.”

Fourth place man in the championship Cal Crutchlow enters this weekend firmly focused on the job in hand:

“Like most riders I much prefer the full circuit compared to the Indy track we will race on,” he said

“The good thing is that there are plenty of laps to do the business and that’s what I’ve got to do.”

With his factory ride with Yamaha in World Supersport just around the corner, Crutchlow isn’t letting himself get distracted ahead of his final BSB weekend:

“I still desperately want to end the year on a high and for me a win – or preferably two – will be the perfect way to sign-off things in the UK before I go to World Supersport.”
