SMT Honda’s Jason O’Halloran is starting to get to grips with the Indy circuit at Brands Hatch this weekend.

Having finished the practice sessions in a highest of 13th, bettering riders such as John Laverty and Guy Martin, O’Halloran had this to say of his weekend so far:

“I struggled in the first session,” said the Aussie Superbike star.

“But with every session I feel more comfortable.

“I’ve been having problems at Paddock Hill and Druids, we’ve been having problems getting the back to turn well.

” I don’t particularly mind the up and down undulations at Paddock Hill, and every lap feels a bit better.”

In just his third race for the SMT team, filling in for the injured Adam Jenkinson, O’Halloran explained how the he and the team had prepared for this round:

“I came here on a trackday with the SMT boys before this weekend.

“But because it was raining we only got to do 15 laps, but I do like this circuit.”

In the final practice session ahead of the Swan Combi 50- Roll for Pole qualifying session, O’Halloran was 19th fastest, 1.8 seconds back from Karl Harris despite completing more laps than any other rider in the session.
