Raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, Shane Byrne has donated his one-of-a-kind ‘Byrne Baby Byrne’ helmet, worn at the first race at round eight of the British Superbike Championship, Oulton Park.

Speaking of the charity, 2008 British Superbike champion Byrne had this to say:

“I suffered a big loss in my life because of cancer.

“I hope that the money raised from the auction of this helmet can go some way, however big or small, towards helping others similarly affected whilst also highlighting the great work carried out by the people at Macmillan Cancer Support.”

With 100% of the proceeds going to the  Macmillan charity, Byrne’s helmet auction finishes at 17:23:37 BST on the 12th October, and can be found on internet auction site www.ebay.co.uk.
