Aragon MotoGP: Espargaro takes home win

1 of 1

Kalex rider Pol Espargaro won his home race at Motorland Aragon today after a race long battle with championship leader and fellow Spaniard Marc Marquez.

Neither Spaniard wanted to concede the lead and the pair traded places several times in the latter half of the race, with Espargaro eventually getting the better of Marquez.

Brit Scott Redding rode a determined race to take the final step on the podium after a hard pass on Andrea Iannone on the final lap.

Tech 3 rider Bradley Smith finished fifth behind Iannone. Fellow Brit Gino Rea finished 22nd.
