Video: David Knight last to first in Barcelona SuperEnduro race

Three time world Enduro champion David Knight took a stunning race win in the Barcelona SuperEnduro round on Sunday. The 34 year old Honda rider stormed from the back of the grid to force his way past the best extreme Enduro riders in the world to take a brilliant win.

Speaking to MCN Knight said: “In the first race of the night my starting gate didn’t drop properly so I was dead last but managed to finish fifth. As a result I was well fired up for the second race! I got a good start and in the first few corners everything went right and I was able to make some good passes. I was hitting the rock section flat out, which I’m not sure many of the other guys were doing, so I made up a lot of time there.”

“In the final race I tried starting in third gear because it was so slippery, but it didn’t really work and I lost a lot of time. I pushed so hard to get through but because of the lines I had to take to make passes I was struggling half way through the race, but still ended up fourth.”

The former factory KTM rider now runs his own team with the help of Paul Edmonson as team manager, Honda, RedBull, Alpinestars, Airoh, Rock Oil, FMF, and Manx Gas but is still in search of a title sponsor.

Knight leaves Barcelona second in the overall standings – 29 points behind Taddy Blazusiak.
