Hickman sells TT knee sliders for Karl Harris Fund

TT fastest ever newcomer Peter Hickman has put up for auction the R&G knee sliders that took him to his 129mph lap of the Mountain Course, with the funds going to the Karl Harris Memorial Fund.

The knee sliders, used by Hickman at the North West 200 and TT, are listed now on eBay, with nine days left to enter your bid for a chance to win. All the funds raised will go to the family of ‘Bomber’ Harris, who left behind two young children after his tragic TT crash.

Peter Hickman, returning to British Superbike action at Knockhill this weekend, said: “Karl was one of the good guys. Motorcycle racing is a relatively small community and his accident at the TT was hard for everyone in the paddock. I just hope the auction raises as much money as possible for his children.”

Alan Garrett, R&G UK Sales Manager said: “We had the pleasure of working with Karl a few times over his career through various teams and he was always a pleasure to be around. When we mentioned the idea of auctioning the knee sliders to Peter, he was more than ‘up for’ the idea.  Hopefully they will contribute to the already incredible amount that fans have raised for the Karl Harris SoFund.”
