Guy Martin set to return to the Cemetery Circuit

Guy Martin will return to New Zealand’s Cemetery Circuit for December’s Wanganui road races. The TT racer made his debut at the tight and twisty circuit two years ago, and returns for his third appearance with a Suzuki New Zealand GSX-R1000 and a Manx Norton at his disposal.

The race, which runs on Boxing Day, is the highlight of a three-round Suzuki Series which runs over the month of December. Martin rode a similar machine last year, collecting a fifth and sixth finish in the two superbike races.

It could mark his last appearance on a Suzuki machine, with the TV star’s Tyco team set to switch to BMW machinery for the 2015 roads campaign.

Martin won’t be the only Northern hemisphere roadracer in attendance, however, with Austrian Horst Saiger also travelling to the event. Saiger, who had a strong performance at the North West 200 before a TT practice crash put him out of the event, will ride 2013 series champion Nick Cole’s Red Devils Racing Kawasaki ZX-10R.
