Brand new look for Beowulf Racing in 2007

When Beowulf Racing takes to the track for the start of the European Superstock 600 Championship (ESS 600) next month, they won’t just be sporting a new rider in the form of 17-year-old Gino Rea – the squad’s GSX-R 600 Suzuki will be decked out with a new livery design as well!

Having competed under a familiar yellow and blue colour scheme since the Somerset squad’s inception in 1996, the bike is now sporting an all-black design with a much stronger use of the title Beowulf character.

The new look is courtesy of team sponsors Compugraphic Design Limited. Normally Compugraphic supply vinyl’s for the team’s vehicles, but this year they decided to take things a stage further.

“Considering I designed the team’s first logo 10 years ago, it was definitely time for a change,” commented Managing Director Suzanne Rogers. The Beowulf name was devised by team founders Andy Stone and Paul Kearns.

Seeing themselves as outsiders up against a more powerful opposition in the strange land of the race paddock, the two noticed a parallel between their situation and the famous legend, adopting it as the title of their then-new squad.

With a new rider, a new bike and a whole new look all in place, race fans should expect Beowulf Racing to be even more unmissable than ever when the 2007 ESS 600 season kicks off at Donington Park on April 1, 2007.
