Best all-weather tyres for Kawasaki ZX-10R

Q. I have a 2008 Kawasaki ZX-10R currently fitted with Bridgestone BT016s. They are fantastic tyres, however can you suggest some tyres suitable for winter road riding?

I ride….erm…. enthusiastically all year and would really appreciate some advice on tyre choice for the colder, wetter months ahead.

A. The best tyres for really rubbish, rainy conditions are Dunlop Roadsmart sport touring tyres.

They don’t have the ultimate grip or fast steering characteristics of a pure sports tyre, but for winter riding conditions they’ll give you a lot of confidence.

If you are after a sports tyre, we’ve found that the new Dunlop Qualifier II is more confidence inspiring in the wet (and dry) in back-to-back tests with the Bridgestone BT-016 and Pirelli Diablo Rosso.
