Sticky rubber upgrade for Honda CBR600RR

Published: 04 July 2011

Q. I have just bought a 2007 Honda CBR600RR and the rear Bridgestone BT-015R is just about squared off. Cheap motorcycle tyres for sale. Would there be anything better for fast road riding, or should I keep the same type of tyre?

A. That tyre is a couple of generations old by now, and the latest rubber lasts longer and grips better, so you’d be better off changing the pair otherwise you won’t get the benefit.

Your options are: Bridgestone BT-016 Pro, Dunlop Sportsmarts, Metzeler Sportec M5s or Pirelli Diablo Rosso IIs.
