Voxan files for bankruptcy… but it isn’t the end

Voxan has filed for bankruptcy – despite a full order-book and waiting lists for its bikes.

The French firm, which builds a range of 1000cc V-twin machines using its own fuel-injected motor, has called in the receivers.

But bosses say this isn’t the end more a necessity for growth. At the moment, the bikes are only sold in mainland Europe, but if all goes to plan, they could make it into the UK, and that’s just for starters.

Currently, Voxan builds 150 to 200 bikes a month, but receives orders for between 400 and 500 – giving it an ever-growing waiting list. But it lacks the money it needs to increase its production volumes and fill the orders.

Voxan is continuing production while the receivers look for new investors.

The firm’s chairman, Jacques Gardette, said: ” The liquidation is a technical action which will enable us to continue our activity and to wait approximately three months for new funds to arrive ” .

He is confident Voxan will find new partners to help it expand and fill demand before the firm is forced to close.
