Cat and Fiddle run improved

1 of 1

One of our favourite roads is re-opening. Parts of the Cat And Fiddle road – also known as the A537 Buxton-to-Macclesfield – have been shut over the last three weeks for roadworks.

You’ll be pleased to know it’s undergone some serious work to repair some nasty ruts.

Macclesfield County Council has re-profiled the affected parts and then completely re-surfaced it, using our favourite high-friction surface where necessary. As one council-worker put it, ” it’ll be fighting fit ” .

Just a shame about that 50mph limit really.
