Blue Marlin voted Best-Looking bike of 2002

1 of 1

Aprilia’s Blue Marlin has come out way ahead in your vote for the best-looking bike of 2002.

The firm revealed it’s ” close-to-production ” prototype at the Milan show last month looking for public reaction to help it decide whether or not to put it into production. The overwhelming answer from motorcyclenews.com users is YES!

The Blue Marlin attracted 20.4 per cent of the total vote, way ahead of its nearest rival, Yamaha’s 2002 R1. That attracted 11 per cent of your total votes.

Votes were cast on threads we set up on the TALK BIKES (TALK NEWS) bulletin board.

We’ll be putting your verdict to Aprilia and hope it will help them decide the Marlin must be built.

Others figuring in the Best Looking Bikes of 2002 were the Gilera SuperSport and Ducati 998 (each with 7.9 per cent of the vote), the new FireBlade, VFR800 and Harley-Davidson V-Rod (which each scooped 6.3 per cent)

Later we’ll be revealing the winner (if that’s the right word) of the vote for the Worst Looking bike of 2002.
