Carnell admit interest in M&P

CARNELL-CITY has declared an interest in rival bike and mail-order retailers M&P, which went into administration last week.

Carnell MD David Morrow said: ” Of course we have an interest, they were the number one player in the mail-order market and we are the number two. Clearly our mail order business and its competitive offers have had a significant effect.

” We are always looking at possibilities to enhance our business but it’s too early to comment further. ”

M&P has 14 stores – some of them are purely accessory shops rather than dealerships – but the more profitable mail order side of the business is likely to be the bigger temptation for Carnell-City.
