World Superbike champion Colin Edwards says Neil Hodgson will have to wait until Edwards retires before he has any hope of taking the WSB title. But then, Edwards also reckons he’s faster than Rossi.

The smiling Texan was speaking frankly in a live web chat session on motorcyclenews.com on Thursday evening, taking time out from his preparations for the Assen WSB round this weekend.

Edwards said Brands is his favourite track for atmosphere and also the place where he was most often asked to ” go and kick Foggy’s ass ” .

He also revealed his SP-2 would have a new colour scheme this weekend, but wouldn’t say what that was. He predicted Sunday’s races would both be won by himself with Bayliss and Bostrom completing the podium. But if it rains he reckons… he’ll still win and Bayliss will make the top three but they’ll be joined by Okada instead.
