Triumph blaze: Morale boosted by Royal Visit

The devastated workforce in Hinckley raised a smile last week when the Duke of York visited the site.
After seeing the destruction inside the factory first-hand, Prince Andrew said: " It?s rather sad in there. This is a great British name that has been reborn and it?s a tragedy to see this happen to a company that has done so well. The fact they have had to suspend production is a great sadness. "
The Duke posed for photos with a Speed Triple, but declined to sit on it. He confirmed that he didn?t ride, adding: " One of my staff has a bike ? it?s not a Triumph ? and he took me on the back once. We didn?t get out of second gear. I?m led to believe Prince William is into this sort of thing, but I?m a little too old for it now. "
He was there in his role as Special Representative for International Investment and Trade.
