Cross the Sahara for charity

1 of 1

Do you like beach holidays and biking? Yes? Then why not combine the two with a trans-Saharan trek to raise cash for a deserving charity.

Mungo Williams is looking for another eight riders to join him next March on a five-day journey though Morocco and across the famous North African deserts.

He’s organising it with Motoaventures, the off-road tour company, on behalf of Amnesty International Riders Against Torture

Last year’s effort raised £5000, but Williams is looking to double that in 2003. He told MCN: ” It’s great to ride, but it’s better to ride for a reason and this trip will be the ride of a lifetime to anyone who comes along.

” The photos of the route look incredible – we’ll be taking on dunes as tall as St Paul’s Cathedral. ”

You’ll need to be able to pay your way on the ride and fundraise money for Amnesty’s worthy cause around the ride.
