Aprilia launch 2003 model big scooter

Aprilia has beaten the rush of 2003 new bikes by unveiling its first model.

The Scarabeo 500 scooter uses the same 460cc single cylinder twist-and-go motor as the Atlantic 500 but features 16-inch wheels, as opposed to the 15-inch front and 14-inch rear on the Atlantic. The styling is different to the Atlantic, too – it even comes with its own top box.

Expect it to cost around £4700, when it’s released in the UK in early 2003.
